Beginners

We are now offering an intermediate training course to get you from 5k to 10k in 10 weeks. Full details are below:

It is a structured course lasting 10 weeks.The aim is to run each Wednesday in a group. Then at your leisure during the following week i will ask you to do two further runs at a specified distance. You can run more if you like and as far as you want but no less than two runs so everyone maintains a certain level. Each fortnight the distance will be increased until we finally hit the 10k mark. There will be some simple warm up exercises before the run and some warm down stretches after.


There are showers available at the clubhouse and a bar for after run drinks.

There is a £10 fee to pay for the course at the start. At the end of the course if you decide to join Maidstone Harriers there will be a £10 discount on your club membership.

New to running?

Don't worry if you are a new or an inexperienced runner, we are always happy to welcome new members of any abilities. We can help get you started with a simple manageable programme that will slowly build your speed and confidence. We also run our Early Birds session on a Wednesday night before the main run, which is especially aimed at new and inexperienced runners.
