Nutrition Talk

Matt Cole from Canterbury Christ Church University recently gave a talk to the club on nutrition, an event that was arranged via KAN. For those of you who weren't able to attend Matt has kindly given permission for a copy of the summary sheet he distributed at the end of the evening to be uploaded onto the site. You can view it here.

KAN project proposals for Maidstone Harriers

Please see below the project proposals I have submitted to the Kent Athletics Network (KAN). These projects are for the benefit of all the members of Maidstone Harriers, not just for the 'faster' runners. They will help all members of the club achieve their running goals, whatever they are.

There is funding from KAN for the coaching courses detailed in the first proposal. Anyone that is interested - including those that I have already spoken to - needs to book on the course themselves and pay the fee. Some (or possibly all) of the fee will be reimbursed by KAN. Those that receive funding from KAN will be expected to use their skills to help out at the club.
There is a course being held at Mote Park on the 20th March and I have included the link to the application form to get onto this course.

You will need to print out the application form, and attach a passport photo. Once completed, bring the form it to the club so that Floyd can sign it, as you may qualify for a reduced fee.
If you do wish to attend this course I would apply quickly as England Athletics will carry out a CRB check and places will fill up fast.

Our current membership of KAN includes funding for all the other projects.
